18k gold, diamond and ruby Tennis racquet brooch
A very stylish brooch made in the form of a Tennis Racquet. The racquet is bordered with brilliant cut diamonds, and the ball is domed to give a 3D look, is also encrusted with diamonds. The strings of the racquet are made in gold and all woven to give a very realistic look.
The handle grip is made from 4 cabochon cut rubies in a graduated size.
The pin is secured with a traditional rollover catch.

The fouled anchor centre is assumed to be platinum surrounded by 15ct gold laurel leaves. On the reverse the pin fastens securely in a handmade rollover safety catch and '15CT' is clearly stamped at the bottom in the centre. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces.
