Alabaster and Wilson Pink and Yellow Sapphire and diamond 18ct white gold Fan brooch
This fan brooch was the result of Alabaster and Wilson having an original 1920s fan brooch in their workshop for repair, and their designer Rachel Byrne copied the original with the owners permission to create the brooch you see here.
The brooch is made of 18ct white gold with a sand blasted finish and with a mock bamboo handle. Set with pendeloque cut pink and yellow sapphires and scattered with modern brilliant cut diamonds. Secured with a handmade Tiffany catch.
The maker of this piece is Alabaster & Wilson who were makers of extremely fine quality jewellery, making one off pieces for high end London shops and Royalty. Any piece of jewellery bearing the A & W stamp, is one of quality and excellence of a superior standard.

Second hand Circa Early 1900s Diameter 3.2cms | A platinum hand pierced Naval Crown Sweetheart brooch set with 38 eight cut diamonds. The circlet at the base is set with nine diamonds and above this there are alternating diamond set sails and sterns of ships. All the diamonds are secured with grain settings. On the reverse the pin fastens in to a handmade safety catch. There are no hallmarks on this brooch which one would expect with the age of this piece as no hallmark for platinum existed before 1975. The brooch measures 28mm x 16mm Second Hand | An unusual brooch in the shop of a Flower Seller, the flower seller is made of a heart cut amethyst body and a pair of almandine garnets for her skirt, the face is coral for skin colour and she is holding a bouquet of flowers of mixed gems. The Flower stall is mage in 9ct yellow gold with baskets on either side and set with more gemstons and also Akoya cultured pearls for the flowers all set under a canopy of a 9ct white and rose gold umbrella. This is a ,most exquisite brooch that will certainly be a talking point. Gemstones are: Garnet, Almandine Garnet, Citrine, Amethyst, Blue Zircon Measures 3.6cms wide x 3.0cms High Handmade in Birmingham by Alabaster & Wilson Established 1887 Circa 1965 Second Hand | Royal Engineers bar brooch, with blue enamel motto surrounding the George 5th. A circular gold wreath surrounds the whole piece and it finished with the Kings crown with red enamel. This is a set on a gold bar brooch. The gold has been cut like the veins on a leaf and catch the light when worn. All gemstones are held by four claw settings and are mounted on the surface of the leaves. The pin is securely fastened with a handmade tiffany safety catch.
