Alsation, 18ct gold brooch by Wolfe & Co.
This is an individual brooch by the superb makers E. Wolfe & Co. established in 1850 and specialise in making bird and animal jewellery, with each piece being unique.
The Alsation is made from 18ct gold, which is exquisitely hand chased to create the effect of the fur. Set with cabochon cut Sapphires for its eyes and with black onyx set for its nose. The piece is completed with an 18ct white gold moveable collar set with a diamond for that added luxury.
Secured with a Trombone brooch fastener for safety, this gives it extra strength in how it supports the brooch.
Measures 5.4cm long from Head to tail | 3.2cm high from Ears to feet

A circular gold wreath surrounds the whole piece and it finished with the Kings crown with red enamel. This is a set on a gold bar brooch. The gold used is stamped 15ct on the bar and the emblem itself is engraved by hand with 15ct. Measures 45mm wide x 23mm tall Second hand | Royal Army Medical Corps, regimental bar brooch, with green enamelled wreath and enamelled Kings Crown, 9ct gold mount. Second Hand | A platinum hand pierced Naval Crown Sweetheart brooch set with 38 eight cut diamonds. The circlet at the base is set with nine diamonds and above this there are alternating diamond set sails and sterns of ships. All the diamonds are secured with grain settings. On the reverse the pin fastens in to a handmade safety catch. There are no hallmarks on this brooch which one would expect with the age of this piece as no hallmark for platinum existed before 1975. The brooch measures 28mm x 16mm Second Hand | The Loyal Regiment, regimental bar brooch, 9ct gold mount with red enamelled Rose of Lancaster and blue enamelled ribbon motto surmounted by a the Royal Crest, a crowned lion standing on a red enamelled Kings Crown. Excellent condition of enamel and gold. The brooch is secured in place with a handmade Tiffany catch.
