The sails and prows of the brooch are all set with modern brilliant cut diamonds and the lower bar is set with modern brilliant cut diamonds and square cut emeralds and rubies. Size: 2.6cms wide x 1.5cms high Second Hand London 1993 | 9ct gold Naval Crown brooch. The sails of the brooch are done with a brushed finish and the prows with a polished finish. Size: 3.2cms wide x 1.9cms high Made by Alabaster and Wilson | An unusual brooch in the shop of a Flower Seller, the flower seller is made of a heart cut amethyst body and a pair of almandine garnets for her skirt, the face is coral for skin colour and she is holding a bouquet of flowers of mixed gems. The Flower stall is mage in 9ct yellow gold with baskets on either side and set with more gemstons and also Akoya cultured pearls for the flowers all set under a canopy of a 9ct white and rose gold umbrella. The circlet at the base is set with nine diamonds and above this there are alternating diamond set sails and sterns of ships. All the diamonds are secured with grain settings. On the reverse the pin fastens in to a handmade safety catch. There are no hallmarks on this brooch which one would expect with the age of this piece as no hallmark for platinum existed before 1975.
