Royal Engineers diamond and enamel Regimental brooch 9ct white gold

A superb example of one quality Regimental brooch. The Royal Engineers sweetheart brooch with a diamond set laurel wreath surrounding the latin Moto – “Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense” all enamelled in blue with Queen Elizabeth II insignia in the centre. Embellished with a white gold crown and red enamel. All made in 9ct white gold and with 9ct yellow gold used around the enamelled parts.

This a most beautiful brooch, and originally made and retailed by Garrards of London. It will have been made by the family company of J.W Barrett in Birmingham who specialised in making Regimental Brooches.

Hallmarked for Birmingham 1976

The sails of the brooch are done with a brushed finish and the prows with a polished finish. Size: 3.2cms wide x 1.9cms high Made by Alabaster and WilsonThis is a beautiful multi gemstone spray basket brooch. The variation of Gemstones adds colour and vibrancy to this exquisite piece of jewellery. The different cuts of stones gives variety and style. All of this is set upon a handmade basket made out of 9ct yellow gold with a curving handle with gold leaves around the piece. Gemstones are: Garnet, Citrine, Peridot, Aquamarine, Amethyst, Blue Zircon and Pink Tourmaline. Measures 3.4cms wide x 4.4cms High Handmade in London by Cropp & Farr Established 1917 London 1971 Second HandNaval Cap sweetheart Regimental brooch in 15ct yellow gold with green and red enamelled Kings Crown. The fouled anchor centre is assumed to be platinum surrounded by 15ct gold laurel leaves. On the reverse the pin fastens securely in a handmade rollover safety catch and '15CT' is clearly stamped at the bottom in the centre. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces. Size: 27mm x 25mm Supplied in a Connards Presentation box Second Hand  A platinum hand pierced Naval Crown Sweetheart brooch set with 38 eight cut diamonds. The circlet at the base is set with nine diamonds and above this there are alternating diamond set sails and sterns of ships. All the diamonds are secured with grain settings. On the reverse the pin fastens in to a handmade safety catch. There are no hallmarks on this brooch which one would expect with the age of this piece as no hallmark for platinum existed before 1975. The brooch measures 28mm x 16mm Second Hand  Platinum and Rose diamond set RAF initials, positioned above a green enamel wreath background, adorned with a red enamel Kings crown. Finished off with the traditional pair of textured yellow gold wings. The letters of the RAF are made from platinum and the remainder of the brooch is from the finest 15ct yellow gold.
