Blue Zircon, Amethyst and multi gem spray brooch, with gold butterflies, 9ct white gold mount
A visually striking brooch of superb craftsmanship and quality. The brooch is in the style of delphiniums set with a two row spray of amethysts graduating towards the tip alongside a similar spray of blue zircons, set with foliage in 9ct white gold with two yellow gold butterflies with textured wings for detail, one with open wings and one closed. The spray is all tied with a white gold bow, set with a cluster of multi gemstones, garnet, blue zircon, citrine, pink and green tourmalines.

Supplied in Connards presentation case Second Hand | Indian Medical Service sweetheart brooch with a gold laurel wreath surrounding the latin Moto - "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE" all enamelled in blue with gold serpent and staff in the centre. To the bottom "INDIAN MEDICAL SERVICE" in a blue enamelled ribbon and at the top a King's crown in gold and red enamel. All made in 9ct yellow gold. On the reverse the pin fastens with a handmade tiffany catch and clearly punched full hallmark. The circlet at the base is set with nine diamonds and above this there are alternating diamond set sails and sterns of ships. All the diamonds are secured with grain settings. On the reverse the pin fastens in to a handmade safety catch. There are no hallmarks on this brooch which one would expect with the age of this piece as no hallmark for platinum existed before 1975. Wolfe & Co. established in 1850 and specialise in making bird and animal jewellery, with each piece being unique. The Alsation is made from 18ct gold, which is exquisitely hand chased to create the effect of the fur. Set with cabochon cut Sapphires for its eyes and with black onyx set for its nose. The piece is completed with an 18ct white gold moveable collar set with a diamond for that added luxury. Secured with a Trombone brooch fastener for safety, this gives it extra strength in how it supports the brooch.
