Diamond encrusted Naval Cap badge, platinum mount
The finest Naval Cap badge that we have ever had before. This superb diamond set Naval cap badge with diamond set central anchor, all with 8 cut diamonds, beautifully mounted in platinum and adorned with a red enamelled Kings Crown with a base of calibre cut rubies and emeralds. The crown is in 18ct gold as gold takes enamel more easily.
Most Naval Cap badges are much smaller and set on a bar, however this is set apart from most by being an outright brooch.

A circular gold wreath surrounds the whole piece and it finished with the Kings crown with red enamel. This is a set on a gold bar brooch. The gold used is stamped 15ct on the bar and the emblem itself is engraved by hand with 15ct. Measures 45mm wide x 23mm tall Second hand | Naval Cap sweetheart Regimental brooch in 15ct yellow gold with green and red enamelled Kings Crown. The fouled anchor centre is assumed to be platinum surrounded by 15ct gold laurel leaves. On the reverse the pin fastens securely in a handmade rollover safety catch and '15CT' is clearly stamped at the bottom in the centre. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces.
