King’s Own Scottish Borderers Regimental sweetheart brooch, 18ct yellow gold and enamel mount
King’s Own Scottish Borderers Regimental sweetheart brooch exquisitely made 18ct gold and enamel. In the centre of the yellow gold cross of St Andrew in white gold is Edinburgh Castle with three turrets and each with a flag flying to the left. The castle is surrounded in a blue enamel circlet at the back of the brooch “KING”S OWN SCOTTISH BORDERERS”. Above and below the circlet within blue enamel scrolls “IN VERITATE RELIGIONIS CONFIDO NISI DOMINUS FRUSTRA” A wreath of green enamel thistles with purple flowers surrounds the circlet and the Royal Crest with red enamelled St Edwards Crown surmounts the brooch.
The piece is made in three separate pieces, the most expensive method of making and all riveted at the back. To the rear the 9ct gold pin securely fastens in a C catch.There are no hallmarks on the brooch.
Measures 27mm wide x 32mm tall

Sat upon this is a gold bee with diamond set pierced platinum wings with a ruby eye. This is a unique brooch made to an exceptional standard. Gemstones are: Blue Zircon, Garnet, Pink and Green Tourmaline, Measures 4.9cms wide x 3.5cms High Handmade in London by Cropp & Farr Established 1917 Second Hand | Large oval citrine with 9ct yellow gold rope mount. The pin curves around the bottom of the citrine and closes in to a 'C' catch. On the reverse of the mount there is a small plate with '9ct' punched on. The citrine is a lovely intense golden colour and measures approximately 30mm x 25mm x 15mm Second Hand | Garnet and citrine spray brooch, with 2 clusters of garnets around a central citrine and dropping tear drop garnets. All set on top of gold bull rushes with rose gold tops, and yellow gold fern sprays. Mounting all in 9ct gold. A superb example of Alabaster and Wilson brooches at their finest. The gold has been cut like the veins on a leaf and catch the light when worn. All gemstones are held by four claw settings and are mounted on the surface of the leaves. The pin is securely fastened with a handmade tiffany safety catch.
